Oklahoma U.S. Representative Kevin Hern running for the U.S. Senate
Hern has a history of promoting unfounded and debunked conspiracy theories.
As a member of the United States House of Representatives, Kevin Hern has been associated with the far-right wing of the Republican Party. He is now seeking to join the United States Senate.
Hern has entered the Republican primary for the U.S. Senate seat from Oklahoma up for a vote in 2026. The seat is currently held by Markwayne Mullin. Mullin is also a Republican who had previously announced that he was running for re-election, but has since been nominated as United States Secretary of Homeland Security and would vacate the seat if he were to be confirmed.
Hern first won a spot in the U.S. House of Representatives in 2018. He was elected from the 1st District of Oklahoma, which includes Tulsa.
A native of Belton, Missouri near Kansas City, Kevin Hern graduated from high school in Dover located in central Arkansas. He later attended Arkansas Tech University, the Georgia Institute of Technology and the University of Arkansas at Little Rock.
