Arkansas State Representative Stan Berry has died
Berry was a candidate for re-election at the time of his death.
Stan Berry was in his second tenure in the Arkansas House of Representatives until he passed away on March 23, 2026. He had been seeking another term in office before his death.
Berry was elected to the House as a Republican for the first time in 2002. Previously, he won campaigns the City Council and School Board of Dover in central Arkansas. He was not a candidate for another term in 2008.
In 2015, Berry ran in a special election for the Arkansas Senate. He lost to Greg Standridge, also a Republican. However, he won a return to the State House two years later.
A graduate of Arkansas Tech University, Stanley Jack Berry was also a veteran of the United States Army. He had four children with his wife Mona.
